Welcome to Karma Dongag Ling (KDL), a non-profit Tibetan Buddhist centre.
Karma Dongag Ling means a centre filled with Tantra and Sutras.

KDL is managed by SONAM and the spiritual director is VENERABLE SHANGPA RINPOCHE.

Our objective is to establish a Dharma Centre where unique expertise can be sought from qualified teachers to impart the vast teachings of Buddhism to all keen new beginners and Buddhist practitioners. With this condition, we hope that the teachings and cultures of Buddhism can be preserved and benefit the future generations.

We believed that Buddhism can bring tremendous benefit to society in countless ways. Our spiritual Director, Ven Shangpa Rinpoche, recognized the need to set up a Dharma Centre in USA, a country which dedicated to provide a conducive environment for the practicing of Buddhism.

Our goal is Enlightenment, awakened mind, or Bodhicitta. If we look at the achievement of near perfect Bodhicitta on the level of the great Bodhisattvas, it might seem almost unattainable, too far removed from our present situation. Hopelessness might set in. Nevertheless, we have to start by taking the first step now.

We hope to establish the Dharma Centre that will foster better understanding of dharma teachings amongst our fellow beings, and thus lead all pactitioners towards the full development, understanding and realization of the Truth.

We hope to get all your support, donations will be appreciated, for maintence of the Dharma Centre.

We hope to raise funds for setting up the Dharma library, meditation and retreat centre and having the Kagyu Teachers to teach in our centres.
